African American Television Shows. Where are they now?

I've been watching ABC's family show State of Georgia. With actresses Raven Symone and Loretta Devine. Today I found out that ABC family cancelled them after only one season. Of course shows like Melissa and Joey, etc. are still airing. Now I'm not a fan of ABC family. At least I don't watch alot of that network, but from what I can tell their not exactly swarming with a lot of African American tv shows either. I don't play the race card alot because I think that's a tired excuse. But something is wrong with that picture. No pun in tended. Just thought I would get this off my chest. Oh and I saw snippets of the Emmy's. Were their any African American winners? Or African American shows that were winners? Just asking.
